I am interested in commenting on the female body in its idealized form. Social norms and gender roles throughout history have influenced the desired physical form that the female body takes. Females are compelled to follow certain cultural trends. My artistic objective is to critique cultural trends that I find impractical or destructive to the female form. I strive to express the absurdities, conflicts and hypocrisies society presents about “ideal” women. As such, my art falls into the category of feminist satire packaged in a post-modern wrapper.
